Office of Student Life (OSL) is a group of professionals with a mental health perspective that understand and respond to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population.  They do not work in isolation; rather they are integral to the total educational program.  OSL align and work with the school’s mission to support the academic achievement of all of all students as they prepare for the ever-changing world.

OSL helps students… identify their strengths, translate and correct those strengths where necessary and amplify those strengths and resiliencies at every opportunity.  The Office of Student Life creates intentional, personal and strategic plans to assist students in their personal growth.

A core component of this plan is the creation of multiple opportunities for real success and meaningful achievement.  The Office of Student Life “builds an appetite” for success, starting with modest sequential experiences and gradually expanding the challenges as a student’s capacity grows. 

This department creates programs that are essential for students to achieve optimal personal growth, acquire positive social skills and values, set appropriate career goals and realize full academic potential to become productive, contributing members of the community. 

OSL believes in exposure and early preparation for college.  Each student develops a postsecondary plan in their freshman year that begins the awareness that college is a goal.  It is the departments’ role to provide awareness, and access to all the postsecondary and financial options that are available.  OSL provides programming to educate not just the students but also, the parents to ensure the transition from high school to college is a smooth one.
