NLCP Business Team Wins Top Honors at IIEE 2008 Youth Entrepreneurship Conference this past Weekend |
The NLCP Business Team of Brandon Hummons and John Wash won first prize in the Advanced Business Team competition at the 2008 Youth Entrepreneurship Conference held at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire, Illinois on May 1st through May 3rd. The conference convened several hundred high school entrepreneurs from cities like Detroit, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Lincoln Nebraska, and Chicago. On Saturday Brandon and John won the $600 top prize for having the most compelling advanced business case of all of the participating teams. |

- *Tuesday, June 3rd: Check-Out day for all Seniors (Class of 2008): 8 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- *Wednesday, June 4th: Check-Out day for all Juniors (Class of 2009): 8 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- *Thursday, June 5th: Check-Out day for all Sophomores (Class of 2010): 8 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- *Friday, June 6th: Check-Out day for all Freshman (Class of 2011): 8 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Saturday, June 7th: Graduation at Millennium Park : 12:30 p.m.
- Monday, June 9th: Day off for all staff – Office Closed
- Tuesday, June 10th – Wednesday, June 11th: Staff Retreat at Dominican University
- Thursday, June 12th – Friday, June 20th: Staff Development Days
- Monday, June 23rd: Summer School begins (Summer School runs from June 23rd – July 11th. There is no class on Friday, July 4th)
*Student-Led Conferences for the Class of 2011 are scheduled for June 3rd – June 6th by either Ms. Tinsley (Christiana Campus) or Ms. Perkins (Collins Campus)

All students participating in leadership and academic programs and their parents/guardians must attend a mandatory Phoenix Rising Orientation/Send Off Event. The event is being offered at three different dates/times.

Monday, June 2nd at 6pm-7:30pm at the Collins Campus
Wednesday, June 4th at 12pm-1:30pm at the Christiana Campus
Thursday, June 5th at 3:30pm-5:00pm at the Christiana Campus
