We’re North Lawndale College Prep.

Together, we rise.

For more than 20 years, we’ve been unwavering in our mission to empower students with the tools necessary to earn a college degree. With deep ties to Chicago’s North Lawndale community, today we educate over 750 high school students across two public charter school campuses and have graduated nearly 2,000 alumni – 99% of whom have been accepted to college.

Our mascot – a living embodiment of the NLCP Way – is the Phoenix. Our students and alumni soar and are transformational leaders in their lives and communities. NLCP’s dual focus on rigorous academics and providing a web of support for students is unmatched in the community.

Our team of talented school leaders, teachers and staff are committed to providing every student with the tools necessary to succeed in college, career and life. And we provide teachers with the professional development and ongoing support to grow and excel in their craft.

Our community of supporters – donors, funders, civic leaders – has deep ties to Chicago and to the North Lawndale community. They’re visionaries, passionately focused on bridging the opportunity gap that persists in the city and on providing resources to enable NLCP to do what we do best: teach tomorrow’s leaders today.

Whether you’re a current or prospective student, a parent interested in providing your child with a college prep high school experience, a gifted teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of students or a donor interested in giving back, we invite you to become part of the NLCP community.

Together, we’re proving what’s possible when students are met with high expectations and a culture of love and support.
